So, you want to work in the field of communications? Great choice!
In a world run by technology that is constantly changing, it is important to remember that in order to be successful in this field, you have to be able to change with the times and be able to communicate successfully yourself. To start, obtaining a Bachelors Degree in either communications or marketing would be your best bet at obtaining a solid position within any communications/marketing firm. From there, you can choose to continue your education with a Masters Degree or any form of professional certificate. A lot of it will depend on what your potential career and job firm is looking for from its candidates.
Another area to consider would be a specialization, or an area you find yourself particularly drawn to when it comes to studying or reporting. This not only helps for your future job interviews and explaining an area you find particularly interesting, but it also helps keep yourself engaged and eager to find and report any new information.
Next would be to remain vigilant in your pursuit of being the best in your field. Reading and understanding current trends and the "next best thing" will keep you at the top of your game, and eager to be successful! Being able to articulate the things you are passionate about alongside your journalism skills will allow you to be a timeless communications professional!
